Recently, the industry association SPECTARIS published the yearbook 2021/22: “The German Medical Technology Industry”. Jüke has long been represented in the yearbook and supports SPECTARIS in the preparation and dissemination of this standard work of the medical technology industry.
This standard work for the industry presents current market developments and provides information on the economic state in which the industry finds itself one and a half years after the start of the Corona pandemic.
Things also remain challenging for medical technology companies from a regulatory point of view. For example, the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) came into full force on May 26, 2021. Several months have passed since then, but there are still significant implementation issues. The open areas of work in connection with the implementation of the MDR are therefore a focus topic in the Regulatory Affairs chapter.
Other topics in the now 14th edition of the yearbook include the lack of a legal framework for international data traffic via cloud solutions, the association’s healthcare and economic policy demands on the new German government, and analyses of the international medtech markets, including reports on Russia, the USA, Southeast Asia and the United Kingdom after Brexit.
The SPECTARIS Yearbook “The German Medical Technology Industry”, which contains around 130 pages, can be ordered or downloaded free of charge from the SPECTARIS website (only in German available).
