Today, Jüke Systemtechnik looks back on 30 years of company history. “We are pleased about the good development from a start-up to a successful, medium-sized technology company”, say Heinrich Jürgens and Martin Hovestadt, partners and managing directors of Jüke. The company develops and produces complex technical devices for medical technology, analysis, bio and laboratory technology and optical applications. The range of customers includes global players and well-known companies such as Olympus, Dräger, GE or Carl Zeiss, but also many smaller companies from the medical and laboratory technology sector.
Jüke currently has 102 employees. 20 of them are mechanical and electrical engineers in development, 66 skilled people in production and 16 in administration. “Nowadays it is not so easy to get good employees, that’s why we train our own junior staff in 4 professions. An apprenticeship with us is the first step on the way to an interesting future perspective”, Martin Hovestadt explains the personnel policy of the company. “We maintain contact with the schools in our region, so that we attract attention at a very early stage. We are partners for schools in career orientation and offer opportunities for internships,” he adds. In engineering, Jüke needs creative minds with enthusiasm. That is why there are good and long-standing contacts with the regional universities.
The development of the company is reflected in the change. The beginning of working on new technologies took place in Hansell for the first two years before Jüke moved to the Environmental Technology Development Center in Oststraße in 1992. The success and steady growth made it necessary in 2008 to construct our own company building at Trumpenstiege 2. Only 7 years later the first extension was completed and inaugurated in 2015. And it goes on: A further construction phase is in planning.
“We know that we owe the excellent development of the company to a large extent to our employees, long-standing customers and partners”, emphasizes Heinrich Jürgens. Looking to the future, he adds: “We are an independent and owner-managed company and want to remain so. The new building, the expansion of our product range and, of course, succession are central issues. The next generation is ready to take on responsibility and is currently preparing for the new tasks”. The company is well positioned and will continue to be an important employer, a solid building block of the regional economy and a reliable partner for international customers in the future.
